Position Overview :

As a Financial Controller, you will BE reporting directly to the Facility Director, providing essential financial insights and analysis to ensure that our budgets are adhered to and that we maximize efficiency in our operational spending. You will manage the financial follow-up of projects and expenditures for our clubs, working closely with suppliers and other departments to guarantee financial compliance and transparency. Additionally, you will BE responsible for reviewing, assessing, negotiating, and accepting or rejecting quotes from suppliers to ensure that costs are aligned with our budget and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Budget Monitoring & Control :
- Act as the main point of contact for monitoring the facility-related budgets for all six countries (France, Belgique, Luxembourg, Pays-Bas, Allemagne, Espagne).
- Regularly track actual spend vs. forecasted budget to ensure financial control across the organization.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to ensure we stay within budgetary limits and identify any areas of overspending.

Forecasting and Planning :
- Work with the Facility Director to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for each country.
- Prepare forecasts and financial models based on real-time data to predict potential budget adjustments.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure that forecasting is aligned with business goals.

Supplier Financial Management & Quote Review :
- Review, assess, and negotiate quotes from suppliers across various services to ensure they align market price, budget constraints and operational needs.
- Accept or reject supplier's quote based on financial feasibility and strategic alignment with business
- Manage and review supplier invoices, ensuring that they match with the services provided and the budget allocation.
- Perform regular audits of supplier expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Reporting and Documentation :
- Generate and present regular financial reports, including analysis of key financial metrics.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all financial transactions related to facility operations.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and audits.

Cross-Department Collaboration :
- Work closely with other departments, including Facility and Ops, to ensure that budget compliance is maintained throughout the year.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Facility Director for operational decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial control or management position, ideally in a multi-country or multi-site environment.
- Proven experience in budget management and financial reporting, preferably in a service-oriented industry or large-scale operational business.

Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and accounting practices.
- Advanced proficiency with financial software (Excel, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluent in Frensh and English, with proficiency in Dutch being a plus.
