Les missions du poste
You will join SUEZ Europe & Central Asia, a Business Unit (BU) looking to achieve significant growth in its Water and Waste activities in the countries selected in the Group's strategic roadmap for the medium-term plan. The ambition is strong, and the BU wants to develop its activities notably in the countries where IT is currently active (Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, Croatia, and Uzbekistan). Additionally, Suez also keeps a close eye on the market, so that we can potentially develop in other countries in the region.
SUEZ is present in Poland through different entities and sites : ARA (recently acquired), Czernica, Mlawa, Bialystok, Warszawa and Mikolów. SUEZ Poland operates different businesses related to the water and waste treatment : development of new water projects (from the design and build of water treatment plants, to their operation and maintenance), development of Energy from Waste projects, and delivery of smart solutions products and services to water utilities.
MISSION
With a view to standardization and operational excellence, you will participate to the consolidation of best operating practices applied on waste methanization plants operated by SUEZ and to their implementation in our Polish subsidiary.
During the first year, you will BE based in France (Paris or Bordeaux, as you prefer) and work under the supervision of technical experts to update and improve the operational know-how base for SUEZ's methanization plants. You'll travel in France, Czech Republic, Poland and the UK, meeting plant operators and industrial site teams to collect and consolidate best practices.
For the second year, you'll join our Polish subsidiary (ARA Cursus) based in Legnica, where you'll assist the local operational team to implement the knowledge gathered in year one.
Your mission will focus on optimizing operations and acting as a liaison between the Polish teams and the SUEZ Group's centers of expertise.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Year 1 (France, Paris or Bordeaux) :
- Update and structure the base of operational knowledge on biogas units.
- Promote the use of a knowledge management tool for sharing good practices.
- Visit biogas sites and collect expert input.
- Learn about technical, regulatory, economic and environmental aspects of anaerobic digestion.
- Develop a network of internal experts to support future missions.
Year 2 (Poland, Legnica) :
- Assist the operational team with :
- Biology follow-up.
- Feedstock recipe management.
- Implementation SUEZ Anaerobic Digestion standards.
- Implementation of the Lean management processes.
- Implementation of best practices identified during the first year.
- Acting as a link between local operation and the several expertise centers and teams of Suez Group.
- Providing expertise and recommendations about agronomic value of the digestate in order to improveits economic valorization in the Polish context.
- Providing technical expertise in any relevant modification of the process.

Le profil recherché
WHICH SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE ?
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious graduate with a strong academic background. A Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Bioengineering, Environmental Sciences or related fields) is required.
Given the international dimension of the role and the need for daily interaction with local and central teams, fluency in Polish, English and French is required.
In addition, we seek candidates who :
- Knowledge on bioengineering and / or environmental sciences.
- Interest in improving and optimizing industrial assets.
- Passionate and curious.
- Objective-focused.
- Willing to learn from other and to teach to other.
- Willing to travel in several countries during 2 years.
- Adaptable to several types of people and working environments.
- Driving license required.
