As Lead Architect at Ankorstore, you will BE the driving force behind our long-term technology vision in a fast-evolving, high-growth environment !

Reporting directly to the VP Product & Tech,, you will lead architectural strategy and innovation across the platform. Your mission is to ensure we stay ahead of the curve by continuously evolving our systems, exploring emerging technologies, and driving strategic decisions that scale with the business.

You will manage and mentor our Staff Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, scalability, curiosity, and bold experimentation. As a key member of the product & tech leadership team, you will shape our technical foundation to support growth, performance, and resilience at scale.

Main responsibilities
- Define and champion Ankorstore's future-proof technology vision, ensuring alignment with fast-changing business needs and emerging opportunities.
- Lead the Engineering Architecture Group to ensure system-wide consistency and modern design principles.
- Manage and develop Staff Engineers, amplifying their impact and ensuring our technical foundations adapt and improve continuously.
- Act as a catalyst for innovation-assess, pilot, and drive adoption of new technologies and architectural patterns that unlock business value.
- Align architecture decisions with business objectives, advocating for scalable and maintainable systems.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Head of Product, and Platform teams to deliver cohesive technical strategies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess adoption relevance.
- Establish architectural governance, technical standards, and design review processes.
- Foster a culture of excellence, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

- Frontend : Vue.js, Typescript, Vuex, Sass, Webpack
- Backend : PHP 8.3, Laravel 10, Golang
- Infrastructure : GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis
- Tooling : GitHub, CircleCI, Sentry, Notion
- AI : MCP, LLM, ML-assisted recommendations

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in an architectural or staff+ leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in designing and evolving the architecture of complex, distributed systems in high-growth environments.
- Exposure to a variety of technology stacks and architectures (e.g., microservices, event-driven, domain-driven design).
- Familiarity with modern DEVOPS and SRE practices, including observability and scalability principles.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional architectural initiatives and making system-wide technical decisions.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor senior technical leaders such as Staff Engineers.
- Track record of driving innovation and continuously modernizing technology stacks.
- Excellent communication skills-comfortable translating between business strategy and technical complexity.
- Fluent in English, with clear written and verbal articulation of technical vision.
