Job Title

Principal QA Engineer

Summary Of the Role

We are looking for a skilled Principal QA Engineer to strengthen the Quality of the Cloud Platform components.

In this role you will have a chance to :
- Serve as the primary contact for 2 Cloud Platform trains (composed of 6-12 teams)

- Provide support to the identified trains around Quality topics
- Collect and manage teams Quality problematic (how to test, where to test, which tools, which processes, which area...) through dedicated analysis & coaching
- Add additional value to Quality Maturity of identified trains
- BE part of the platform gatekeeping (global sign-off process of the cloud platform teams)
- BE owner of some of the SAFe Epics linked to problematics / challenges associated to Quality of the program

- Some example of "past/current" points of attention : Sign-off & Releasing cycle, Integration Testing, Validation of LZ deployment mechanism, Disaster Recovery
- Example of coming points of attention : AUD Ecosystem, GOB, PaaS, Progressive Rollout, Availability Management
- On top of quality activities for the platform train, support NEC organization (managing the NFR Quality Community).
- Participate in the global sign-off process for the cloud platform teams
- Take responsibility for some of the SAFe Epics related to Quality challenges of the program
- In addition to quality activities for the platform train, the NEC organization also manages the NFR Quality Community. The goal is to manage this community for the global Amadeus Engineering community
- Through cross-team guidance, act as a functional and technical lead responsible for defining and sharing best practices around QA methodology within the organization
- Conduct technical discussions with internal development teams to understand their designs and intended outcomes
- Take a leading role in the technical implementation of the test strategy. The candidate should have a strong IT and business understanding
- Evaluate the overall quality (not only QA Engineer aspects) on our Platform area (infrastructure as code, network, dbs, middlewares, tools...)
- Through cross-team guidance, act as a functional and technical lead responsible for defining and spreading best practices around QA methodology among the organization.
- Conduct technical discussions with internal development partners to understand their designs and intended output.
- Take a leading role in the technical implementation of the test strategy.

- Ensure the stability of the Cloud Platform thanks to our system integration team focused on Integration & End-to-end testing of the platform
- Act as an enabler for Quality Improvement of the Cloud Platform (defining the test strategy of the platform, managing various communities, defining new types of tests based on new technologies such as Terraform, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Support Cloud teams when IT comes to Quality through the whole development life cycle
- Performance & Disruption testing (Chaos testing framework, Disaster Recovery (DR) Validation, Zonal Resiliency Validation, etc.)
