Senior Investment Manager - Private Markets H/F MVIP Consulting

PRIVATE INVESTMENTS DIRECTOR Location: Monaco

COMPANY

MVIP Consulting is supporting a private international investment organisation in Monaco in the appointment of a Private Investments Director.

Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, executing and monitoring investments in privately held companies, including both minority and majority equity positions.

The position requires strong transaction execution capabilities, advanced financial modelling skills and a thorough understanding of the legal and governance considerations associated with private investments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyse and execute investments in private companies across sectors and geographies

- Lead financial due diligence and build sophisticated integrated operating, valuation and scenario models

- Assess business plans, industry dynamics, competitive positioning and growth opportunities

- Review and negotiate transaction documentation, including shareholders' agreements, investment agreements, governance arrangements and exit provisions

- Coordinate external advisors, legal counsel, accounting firms and consultants

- Prepare investment materials, financial analyses and recommendations for senior decision-makers

- Monitor portfolio companies, participate in strategic discussions and oversee value creation initiatives

- Support follow-on investments, refinancing transactions and exit processes

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- 4-5 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A), Transaction Services or Deals Advisory within a leading international investment bank or Big Four firm

- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution

- Ability to critically review legal documentation and understand governance mechanisms

- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills

- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate effectively within a lean investment environment

- Fluent English

- French and Italian are highly desirable

EDUCATION

- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering

- CFA qualification would be considered an advantage
