Regulation & Market Design Advisor - HL14

Do you have a strong understanding of European electricity markets and power systems? Are you eager to influence market design and regulation in a fast-changing energy landscape?
Do you combine analytical thinking, stakeholder management and the ability to defend clear positions on complex topics?

Then this job is for YOU.

For the Regulation & Market Design team, within the Market Analysis Expertise Center of ENGIE Supply & Energy Management, we are currently looking for a Regulation & Market Design Advisor Power (F/M/X) based in Brussels.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Regulation & Market Design Advisor Power

As Regulation & Market Design Advisor Power, you will follow and influence the evolution of European electricity regulation and market design, with a focus on topics impacting S&EM energy management, asset portfolio optimization and trading activities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor European regulatory initiatives in the electricity sector, as well as their national implementation.
  • Analyze upcoming changes to the regulatory framework and assess their impact on S&EM energy management activities.
  • Inform and advise relevant internal teams on regulatory evolutions and their potential business implications.
  • Build, write and communicate S&EM positions on key regulatory topics, in coordination with internal stakeholders and in line with the relevant governance processes.
  • Advocate ENGIE's interests towards external stakeholders such as TSOs, NRAs and other market actors.
  • Contribute to discussions on electricity market functioning, security of supply, generation, transmission, storage, infrastructure and broader market design topics.
  • Cooperate closely with other regulatory teams across ENGIE and contribute to a constructive, transparent and collaborative team dynamic.

Research shows that men apply when they meet 60% of the requirements while women only apply when they are convinced they meet 100%. Don't let that hold you back, we'd love to hear from you!

YOUR PROFILE as Regulation & Market Design Advisor Power

  • You understand key technical concepts linked to power optimization, power plant operations and transmission system operations.
  • You are eager to learn, analytical, precise and organised.
  • You communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and can explain complex regulatory topics to different audiences.
