Les missions du poste

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering studies, calculations, and design activities for nuclear facility upgrades and modifications.
  • Develop and review electrical design packages, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Support refurbishment, life extension, and plant modification projects.
  • Design and assess power distribution, instrumentation, control, and electrical equipment systems.
  • Participate in field walkdowns, site investigations, and engineering assessments.
  • Support equipment replacement, system upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear, electrical, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.


Le profil recherché

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience supporting nuclear refurbishment, modification, or capital projects.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems, equipment design, and engineering calculations.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation and design deliverables.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project environments


Assets

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is a strong asset.
  • Experience supporting Bruce Power, Pickering, Darlington, OPG, or other nuclear generating stations.
  • Familiarity with Canadian nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with electrical system upgrades, power distribution, instrumentation and controls (I&C), or plant modernization projects.
