To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Demand and Supply Lead within the Supply Chain team! This position will be located in Mumbai.

Our ambition is to improve customer service (OTIF) and reliability at competitive cost levels and inventories while improving the product mix to maximize VM with a constrained capacity footprint.

Their mission?
The Demand & Supply Lead is responsible for driving integrated demand and supply planning to optimize inventory across manufacturing plants. The role ensures the development of accurate demand forecasts and efficient supply plans that enable cost optimization, improved service levels, and adherence to monthly and weekly production and inventory targets.
As the key interface between commercial, demand planning, and manufacturing teams, the role aligns demand signals with supply capabilities, proactively resolves constraints related to capacity, production planning, and inventory, and ensures a balanced, responsive, and efficient end-to-end supply chain.

Your experience and talents will make the difference to:
Within Functional area
-Review and validate the 6-16 week rolling demand forecast based on the approved S&OP/IBP plan, incorporating weekly updates and market intelligence from Sales and Demand Planning teams.
-Develop and maintain an integrated 6-16 week rolling Master Production Schedule (MPS), aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities and constraints at SKU/grade level.
-Drive alignment between demand and supply plans by identifying gaps, highlighting risks, and escalating issues for timely decision-making.
-Ensuring optimal SKU/grade-level production sequencing based on agreed demand-supply plans.
-Plan and optimize stock transfer movements between plants and warehouses to ensure inventory balancing, minimize logistics costs, and support customer service levels.
-Lead weekly and monthly Demand-Supply/Supply Review meetings, ensuring alignment across Demand, Sales, and Manufacturing teams and tracking adherence to plans.
-Monitor forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory health, and plan adherence; drive continuous improvements in planning processes and KPIs.
-Identify and manage supply constraints (capacity, materials, logistics) and develop mitigation plans, including prioritization, reallocation, or demand shaping actions.
-Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards while planning production and inventory movements.
-Maintain data accuracy and integrity in planning systems (OMP/SAP or equivalent), ensuring reliable inputs for decision-making.

Cross- Functional
-Collaborate closely with manufacturing plants, scheduling teams, and warehouses to track daily/weekly execution performance and resolve operational issues.
-Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Commercial teams to challenge and refine forecasts, drive consensus demand plans, and manage demand variability.
-Coordinate with S&OP/IBP teams to support balancing decisions, scenario planning, and alignment with financial and operational objectives.
-Work with Customer Care teams to align supply priorities, improve order fulfilment, and enhance customer service levels.
-Engage with Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure raw material availability and efficient product movement across the network.
-Support cross-functional decision-making by providing data-driven insights on demand trends, supply constraints, and inventory risks.
-Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and adherence to quality and EHS standards across all planning and execution activities.

-Exercise judgment in adjusting forecasts, production priorities, and inventory deployment to optimize service levels and costs.
-Drive alignment between demand plans and supply capabilities through proactive coordination with Sales, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing teams.
-Make operational decisions on stock allocation, inter-plant transfers, and production sequencing based on business priorities.
-Ensure accuracy and consistency of planning data (demand forecasts, MPS, master data) in systems such as SAP/OMP.
-Identify risks (forecast deviations, capacity constraints, inventory imbalances) and take corrective actions or escalate when required.

Engineering/MBA with 12+ years of experience in demand & supply planning positions in a manufacturing environment (Food Ingredients, FMCG, Chemicals, Pharma, or Process Manufacturing industries preferred)
