Apprentice project manager for Cyber Security Team

  • Nexans has defined an organization, policies, and action plans to maintain and improve the protection level of its Information System. The objective is to protect the Information System against attacks such as viruses, intrusion from hackers, and fraud attempts. The organization is committed to ensuring the security and integrity of its Information System through proactive measures and continuous improvement. The Apprentice Project Manager for Cyber Security Team will play a crucial role in implementing and enhancing the security measures to safeguard the organization's Information System.



Purpose (Sum up the position using one or two sentences)



Job Duties:


1. Vulnerability Management:


- Utilize and master the Qualys/Nucleus tools to identify and assess system vulnerabilities.


- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate the effectiveness of our security measures.


- Regularly communicate with key individuals to ensure that all vulnerabilities are properly tracked and addressed, particularly critical flaws.


2. Crisis Management:


- Review our current crisis management process, identify areas for improvement and propose modifications.


- Update and improve our crisis management plan to ensure an effective and coordinated response to any security incident.


3. SOC Incident Management:


- Provide support to our Incident Manager, assisting in coordinating the response to security incidents and communication with internal and external stakeholders.


- Participate in the analysis of incidents to identify the cause, impact, and necessary corrective measures.


- Assist in implementing corrective measures and monitoring their effectiveness.


- Contribute to documenting incidents and the continuous improvement of our incident management process.


4. Password Management:


- Research and evaluate alternative solutions to KeePass for password management, considering security, usability, and scalability.


- Collaborate with IT and relevant stakeholders to implement the selected password management solution, ensuring seamless integration and user training.


5. Security Subject Follow-up:


- Engage with the IT department to follow up on security subjects such as pentest recommendation implementation and new security measures to implement.


- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of recommended security measures and best practices.


6. Other potential projects

  • The apprentice must propose new initiative, be able to be organized, and have excellent communication skills. They should also have a good understanding of information system security and a willingness to continually learn in this rapidly evolving field.

  • Deliverables of the project managed by the apprentice or alternant, with a level of quality matching the expectations of the Global Information Security and Compliance Director.

Required skills and qualifications (Management and function competencies regarding available Nexans models, personal attributes, education, experience)




  • Engineer school.

  • Capacity to work in a full English environment (spoken and written).

  • Communication skills to work with various people.

  • Motivation to learn new skills and expertise.

  • Customer driven with quality approach.
