About Exotrail 🚀

Born from a strong ambition to reach for the stars, Exotrail is a fast-growing scale-up founded in 2017. Its mission: to develop and commercialise propulsion systems for small satellites on a global scale.

We design products focused on impact, fast delivery, and continuous improvement. Inspired by the digital world, we are firmly customer-oriented and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit.

We manage risks to push boundaries and achieve results that would not be possible within a traditional space model.

We deploy every necessary resource to support the development of our products, whether in propulsion or in-orbit services. Strengthened by an innovative mindset inherited from our early days, we are preparing to grow into an ambitious industrial company.

Job Description 👨‍💻

This role requires strong technical expertise and important project management skills to effectively lead internal product development projects, ensuring they meet organisational goals and client expectations.

The role has Operational Management responsibilities.

Missions

The Module Leader ensures robust project responsibility by overseeing planning, budgeting, and delivery of development projects.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges and uncertainties together with the technical team or, in case of support needed, with the Technical Project Manager. Use risk management processes to minimise the impact of risks on project objectives.

  • Performance Metrics: Track critical KPIs such as budget adherence, timeline accuracy, and quality standards to evaluate project success.

  • Reporting: Regularly update Technical Project Manager, Product Manager and Line Managers on project progress, challenges, and workload.

  • Stakeholder Management: Track project performance against established KPIs and objectives. Prepare and present detailed project reports to the technical team and the Technical Project Manager, highlighting progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.

  • Quality: Ensures clarity and on-time delivery of manufacturing deliverables and documentation. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

  • Production support: Ensure proper implementation of the Fluidic workflows in coordination with the Industrialisation. In the event of a production issue, the Module Leader is responsible for establishing a dedicated action plan to restore production.

  • Supplier follow-up: The Module Leader will ensure the proper technical follow-up of the activities subcontracted to suppliers for development purposes and may support the Quality and Supply team with the technical follow-up of suppliers involved in the production of flight units. It encompasses the preparation, execution and finalisation of the activities. Occasional travel to the supplier premises may occur.
