AGL Transport is seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport Fleet Controller to join our Transport Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily planning and control of the fleet, coordinating cross-border transport operations, managing NaTIS vehicle administration, obtaining abnormal load permits across the SADC region, and ensuring full compliance with transport legislation and company standards.

-Plan, coordinate, and control the daily movement of the transport fleet.
-Allocate vehicles and drivers according to operational requirements.
-Monitor fleet movements and provide accurate ETAs to customers and internal stakeholders.
-Coordinate loading and offloading schedules with customers, depots, and mine sites.
-Manage cross-border transport operations throughout the SADC region.
-Ensure all driver, vehicle, trailer, and cargo documentation is complete before departure.
-Process and manage all NaTIS vehicle administration, including registrations, licensing, renewals, and change of ownership.
-Apply for and manage abnormal load permits in Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Angola.
-Liaise with the Roads Authorities, transport authorities, clearing agents, escort service providers, and border officials.
-Monitor vehicle compliance, licences, roadworthiness, insurance, and permit validity.
-Monitor fleet utilisation, turnaround times, and operational performance.
-Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, transport legislation, and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 (Matric).
-Diploma or qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
-Minimum 5 years' experience as a Transport Fleet Controller within the transport and logistics industry.
-Experience with NaTIS vehicle administration.
-Experience in obtaining and managing abnormal load permits in:
-Namibia
-South Africa
-Zambia
-Botswana
-Zimbabwe
-Angola
-Strong knowledge of cross-border transport operations and customs procedures within the SADC region.
-Experience working with fleet management and vehicle tracking systems.
-Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
-Valid driver's license.
