About the Job

The Consumer Experience Group at Sanofi is seeking a proactive and insightful Design Research Lead to join our team. This role is instrumental in shaping the user experience by understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various research methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in informing design and product strategies to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.

As a Research Lead for digital products and tools within the Consumer Experience Group at Sanofi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our solutions are user-centered, innovative, and highly adoptable. Your expertise in foundational and user-focused research will be essential for developing successful products that truly meet the needs and preferences of our users. By leading comprehensive research initiatives, you will gather valuable insights into user behaviors, motivations, and pain points, guiding the design and development process to create intuitive and effective digital solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Conducting research

·Foundational Research: Conduct foundational research to understand the broader context of user behaviors, needs, and motivations.

·Data Collection: Utilize methods such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations to gather qualitative and quantitative user experience data.

·Participant Recruitment: Identify and recruit appropriate participants for research studies, ensuring a diverse and representative sample.

2. Analyzing Data:

·Data Analysis: Identify patterns, trends, and insights from research data.

·Synthesis: Combine findings from multiple sources into comprehensive reports and presentations to support design decisions.

3. Developing User Personas and Journey Maps:

·User Personas: Create detailed personas to represent different user types based on research findings.

·Journey Maps: Develop journey maps to illustrate the user experience and identify key touchpoints and pain points.

·Usecases/ User Scenarios to understand how will the product be used and by who

4. Supporting Ideation and Prototyping:

·Facilitative Brainstorming and concensus building: Contribute research insights during ideation sessions.

5. Testing and Validation

6. Collaboration:

·Cross-functional Work: Collaborate with senior researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into product strategies and designs.

·Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the research process.

7. Presenting Findings:

·Reporting & Communication: Present findings to stakeholders,to facilitate evidence-based decision-making via clear and actionable research reports and presentations

·Compelling visual storytelling skills

8. Learning and Tools:

·Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest user research techniques and tools.

·Skill Enhancement: Apply new knowledge and tools to enhance research quality and effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·Visual Communication: Create compelling research artifacts such as journey maps, personas, and user stories using tools like Adobe, FigJam, or similar.

·Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using various research and design tools to create and present research findings effectively: Dovetail, Usertesting, et. Al.

·Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

·Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders.

·Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems based on research insights.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience:Seasoned at conducting research directly informing digital development work and iteration cycles.

  • Research Skills:Proficiency in various research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations.

  • Analytical Skills:Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Collaboration:Demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers.

  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or similar). Advanced degree preferred but not required.

  • Technical Proficiency:Familiarity with tools like Adobe, FigJam, and other research and design tools. Fluent in developing visually compelling artifacts( journey maps, personas, etc..)

The salary range for this position is :€48,000.00 - €64,000

La rémunération finale sera déterminée en fonction de l'expérience démontrée, des compétences, de la localisation et d'autres facteurs pertinents. Les employés peuvent être éligibles pour participer aux programmes d'avantages sociaux de l'entreprise.
