Internship - Junior Maritime Flow Analyst H/F CMA CGM

YOUR ROLE

Our team is responsible for improving the tools and processes for all maritime flow managers, as well as for the production and monitoring of macro activity indicators. We also conduct in-depth studies of situations to propose improvements. Your main mission will be to maintain an optimal stock level while collaborating closely with the managers of each line to understand any discrepancies. You will also be responsible for improving the tools and processes within your team and across Cargoflow.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

Your first mission is to maintain an optimal stock level. This first mission will allow you to acquire the operational basics necessary for a thorough understanding of the Cargoflow domain and profession. Your responsibilities will include:

- Updating stock projections every Tuesday using extractions from Qliksense and understand discrepancies by contacting the managers of each line if necessary, ensuring solutioning is optimal.

- Presentation of results: Every Thursday, you will participate to thJe stock meeting in English, where the main points will be presented. You will then write a summary based on the information discussed and the team's explanations. This summary will be sent to about sixty colleagues and managers.

- Analysis of discrepancies: The following week, you will analyze the discrepancies between projections and actual data for each port every Monday using data extracted from Qliksense. You will find explanations by contacting the managers of each line.
The proportion of time devoted to operational tasks will gradually decrease as you progress. However, it is important to note that these tasks remain fundamental for developing a deep understanding of our constantly evolving environment.

Once you have acquired a basic set of knowledge in the first few months, the time allocated to operational tasks will be limited to the beginning of the week. This will give you the opportunity to focus on improvement projects. These projects are designed to optimize our logistics processes and reduce supply chain-related costs. They may encompass initiatives that vary according to your strengths, such as improving the Excel files used for projections, evaluating the feasibility of changing port of call, analyzing port costs, optimizing flows, and developing new tools, among others.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business or Engineering, you ideally have completed an internship in similar roles.

- You are comfortable working in both English and French, both orally and in writing.

- You have an excellent command of computer and office tools, especially Excel.

- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.

- Excellent communication skills for clear information transmission.

- Initiative to propose innovative solutions.

- Attention to detail and rigor to ensure the accuracy of projections and reports.
