As the Head of Medical Affairs, you will lead our efforts in shaping the medical strategy and direction for our product portfolio, ensuring that our initiatives align with our mission of advancing patient care through innovative solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Medical & Scientific Leadership

- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the company's medical devices and ensure continuous scientific monitoring of industry advancements and clinical practices
- Define product scientific strategies and coordinate their implementation
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through advisory boards, publications, collaborative projects, and scientific communications
- Provide non-promotional medical support to commercial teams, including responses to complex scientific or medical inquiries
- Collaborate with internal teams and KOLs to develop high-value scientific content aligned with product strategy and regulatory requirements (scientific materials, presentations, sales support tools, publications, newsletters, etc.)

Educationnal Leadership and Internal Support

- Design, together with internal and external experts, tailored educational programs for different target audiences:
- Internal teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory) to ensure strong product knowledge, differentiation, and clinical translation of product benefits
- External stakeholders (surgeons, distributors) to ensure safe and effective product use
- Oversee and plan the daily activities of the training center
- Work closely with the Communication team to promote training programs effectively

Medical Governance and Compliance

- Contribute to the development of internal Medical Affairs processes (scientific content validation, publication management, congress support)
- Ensure compliance of medical content and initiatives with applicable regulations and ethical codes (e.g., DMOS, transparency rules)
- Support the implementation of dashboards and KPIs to measure the scientific impact of Medical Affairs initiatives

About You

At Excelya, taking audacious steps is encouraged, so we're looking for individuals who are ready to grow with us and share our values.

- Education: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience: Significant experience in Medical Affairs, with a proven track record in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with medical experts (KOLs, surgeons) and produce high-value scientific content
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ICH-GCP regulations, healthcare professional interactions, and industry practices.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Proactive Approach: Results-oriented, with a commitment to ethical standards and compliance.
