DISCOVER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the APU Manager, the Manufacturing Methods Engineer plays a key role in the continuous improvement of assembly production processes. Your primary focus is optimizing existing manual and semi-automated assembly lines, enhancing performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery dimensions.
- Key activities:
- Analyze assembly process malfunctions (safety, quality, cost, delivery) and implement structured improvements using recognized methodologies (A3, DMAIC, 5 Whys, etc.).
- Design, update, and optimize assembly workstation layouts and production line configurations.
- Define technical specifications for production equipment and tooling; manage qualification projects in collaboration with machinery suppliers.
- Conduct standard time studies, ergonomic assessments, and assembly line balancing analyses.
- Implement new or upgraded production equipment, from specification drafting through to technical validation and operator training.
- Create and maintain process risk analysis documentation (FMEA).
- Transfer process knowledge to operators and support functions to ensure team autonomy.
- Contribute to the development of new assembly processes within the Business Unit.
Le profil recherché
- Engineering degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (Bac +5 / Master's level preferred; strong experience may compensate).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a methods or process engineering role, with a proven focus on assembly processes : this is our core requirement.
- Industry background in automotive or mechanical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- English B1 minimum
