As Development/LCM Global Project Head within our Vaccines R&D team, you'll serve as the strategic leader driving integrated development strategies for New Vaccines projects from Gate M2 through licensure. You'll orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, lead Global Project Teams, and serve as a key voice in governance and strategic decisions that bring life-saving vaccines to patients worldwide. Main responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute integrated vaccine development strategies from Gate M2 through licensure, including Target Product/Vaccine Profile creation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and patient needs
- Team Management: Lead Global Project Teams and sub-teams, fostering collaboration across functions while setting clear objectives, providing feedback, and holding team members accountable for deliverables
- Project Execution: Deliver projects on-time and within budget, monitor milestones, address obstacles proactively, and ensure seamless coordination across all functional areas and geographies
- Resource Optimization: Supervise project activities, optimize allocation of budget and personnel, and partner with functional leaders to secure necessary resources and capabilities
- Strategic Planning: Translate Target Product Profiles into comprehensive development plans, ensuring alignment across Integrated Early Global Plan, Clinical Development Plan, and Global Regulatory Strategy
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (NGOs, academic institutions, joint ventures), representing the project in high-level strategic discussions
- Communication & Governance: Present project objectives, progress, and risk mitigation strategies to senior leadership and governance committees with clarity and impact, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences
- Franchise Strategy: Contribute to R&D vision and strategic roadmap for the vaccine franchise, identifying opportunities for synergies across projects and therapeutic areas

About you

- Education & Experience: Ph.D. in science, MD, or Pharm.D. with 7+ years in vaccine development OR B.S./M.S./MBA with 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology development
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead international, cross-functional teams toward common goals; experience in people management and team development
- Strategic Thinking: Deep understanding of vaccine development processes combined with business acumen and commercial awareness
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of global vaccine development, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
- Communication: Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage audiences at all levels and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Personal Attributes: Performance-oriented with strong execution focus, adaptable in the face of changing priorities, and passionate about improving global health
