Les missions du poste

Milan, Italy:

- Assure the Piping & Valves discipline issuance, review, and approval of around 2,000 technical documents.
- Ensure all Project HSE requirements are adhered to and implemented. Ensure HSE is emphasized throughout all Mechanical design activities. Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
- Perform the review of detailed engineering works related to, but not necessarily limited to, Piping, Layout, Valves (deliverables both from the Contractor and the Vendors) in compliance with Project Scope of Work, Specifications and Procedures, discipline requirements and international codes.
- Perform or supervise the review of piping stress and vibrations studies.
- Identify any deviation from the Project Basis of Requirements and reporting these to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
- Offer technical support to the replies to Contractor and Vendors clarifications and derogations requests.
- Participate, in coordination, with others to the Inspection and Tests Plans (ITP) and FAT preparation and execution. To attend meetings / FATs with Vendors where necessary.
- Assist with the review of piping and valves related subjects within other discipline deliverables.
- Participate to PI&D reviews, HAZOP and other safety review meetings.
- Report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager any area of concern concerning quality or discipline progress.
- Ensure the quality and completeness of Final Documentation (deliverables both from the Contractor and the Vendors):
- In compliance with Project Scope of Work, Specifications and Procedures.
- Allowing an adequate hand-over to the Operation of the Subsidiary
- Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives in compliance with the Project HSEQ management system.

During site activities, avoid Contractor stand-by / delay by answering quickly to site queries and unexpected technical site problems, oversee rectification of punch list items, and completion of on-site tests, and oversee erection of all discipline-related equipment

Mozambique:

Technical Support (Engineering Construction)

- Provide discipline technical support for all Piping & Valves matters on site.
- Ensure correct interpretation and implementation of engineering deliverables (isometrics, valve datasheets, material specs, layouts, 3D model extracts).
- Address and respond promptly to Contractor Technical Queries (TQ), Deviation Requests (DER), Concession Requests, and site clarifications.
- Coordinate with homeoffice engineering to resolve design inconsistencies or missing information impacting site activities.
- Support issue resolution related to pipe routing, supports, vibration concerns, valve selection, and compliance with project specifications.

2. Construction Support

- Assist construction teams with daytoday technical clarification for piping installation, valve installation, welding, testing, flushing, and reinstatement.
- Review construction documentation such as ITPs, WPS/PQRs, erection plans, and test packs.
- Participate in joint inspections for piping and valves, including weld/NDE checks and material conformity verification.
- Monitor proper handling, preservation, and installation of all valve types (manual, actuated, control, cryogenic).

3. Precommissioning / Commissioning Assistance

- Support preparation and review of precommissioning and commissioning procedures (hydrotest, pneumatic tests, cleaning, drying, leak testing).
- Verify test pack completeness, punch list closure, and discipline walkdowns.
- Follow progress of asbuilt markups, test pack completion, mechanical completion dossiers, and ICAPS inputs.

4. Interface & Coordination

- Interface with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, QA/QC, and Commissioning teams regarding piping and valve issues, ensuring proper communication and resolution support.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to report discipline issues, highlight constructability concerns, and support identification of practical solutions.
- Liaise with Contractor engineering teams and vendors to clarify technical points and follow up on pending actions, under the guidance of the Piping & Valve Lead.

5. HSE and Quality Compliance

- Apply and promote Project HSE requirements in all piping and valve activities.
- Ensure discipline activities comply with TOTAL GS/CR/GM referential and relevant international codes.
- Support quality control activities including welding inspections, NDE followup, valve testing, and verification of discipline documentation.

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Report discipline issues, progress, and risks to the Piping & Valve Lead and Construction Management.
- Contribute to the preparation, review, and update of discipline engineering and construction documents.

Support the compilation of asbuilt documentation and turnover dossiers for mechanical completion and precommissioning.

Le profil recherché

- Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline - Mechanical, Piping, Petroleum, or equivalent.
- Registration as a Charted Engineer, PE or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in English language.

- 10+ years' experience in piping/valve engineering on major oil & gas projects, including LNG.
- Good understanding of the design and operation of Piping and Valves on a large-scale LNG plant. Strong knowledge of Stress analysis and Vibration assessments.
- Strong background in:
- - piping design, layout, materials, valves, stress, and vibration analysis
- - fabrication, welding, testing, FAT, construction methods
- - cryogenic valves and largebore valve systems
- Specific experience in the design and selection of Cryogenic components, including Valves/ Actuators, HIPPS and Vessel / Heat Exchanger interfaces.
- Previous experience pertaining to Engineering deliverables, such as, Piping Design Philosophy, Plot Plans, Layout Drawings, 3D Model, Piping and Valve Specifications, MTO, Piping supports and hangers, Acoustic and Flow induced vibration analysis, Thermal and Mechanical stress analysis, Piping SP Items Data Sheets, Mechanical material handling report and Technical Bid Analysis.
- Supervisory experience related to plant and project engineering with increasing size and responsibility.
