JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: UTILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERSIOR

ROLE: To Take care of the Maintenance & Operation of Cogen Plant & Process Boilers (20 & 30 TPH).

- Daily checking and reporting of manpower (company / contract)
- Arrangement of manpower for timely completion of the planned maintenance activities / breakdowns
- Ensure all dept. personnel follow safety precautions & PPE
- Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance schedule
- To operate & monitor boilers, TG & BOP systems
- To ensure continuous supply of Utilities (Steam) in required quality and quantity
- To Handle emergencies like equipment trips, breakdowns or abnormal conditions
- To Ensure compliance with environmental norms
- To Monitor DCS parameters and take corrective actions when deviations occur
- To ensure proper start up shutdown and load management of equipment
- To supervise shift operators/Electrician/Technician/Fitters for smooth running of plant
- To allocate duties and ensure smooth handover between shifts
- To maintain shift logbooks & Check lists. To maintain records related to audits & inspections
- Readiness of stand by boilers whenever required to operate
- To optimize fuel consumption, power generation efficiency and steam parameters
- To Monitor auxiliary power consumption & reduce energy losses
- To support continuous improvement initiatives
- To Raise the indents for spare/Consumables/chemicals procurement on priority wise within budget under guidance of Manager Carrying out major overhauling of machines under guidance of Section head.
- Verification of the expenditure bills / job done as per standard rates of the company
- To keep the plant, clean and safe, ensure strict adherence to safety rules, SOPs and statutory regulations
- To ensure that all the jobs are started after assurance of proper work permit
- To ensure that area is found properly cleaned before starting the job & again cleaned by his team after completion of job i.e. just before returning the permit
- Daily plant round to check smooth operation and equipment health
- Give feedback to HOD/Manager regarding any abnormality in plant and enforce to set right from O&M Operator/fitters, feedback on condition of machines for planning maintenance
- To Interact with Fuel yard management team to ensure right fuel feeding is being done
- Enforce shift operators/fitters for improving housekeeping.

Experience: 6 to 10+ years in similar field

Academics: Mechanical Engineering preferred with mandatory BOE Certification
