Job mission

Under the guidance of the design Director, the MM6 Freelance Senior Menswear Designer works closely with the MM6 Collection Director. He/She is responsible for the design, creative development, and execution of the MM6 line, in line with the agreed seasonal creative concepts, collection plan, and calendar to meet the objectives.

Job responsibilities and activities

Participate in the definition of creative concepts, in line with Brand DNA and market needs, by:

- Guided by the Design Director, participating in creative concept definition, and doing creative research.

- Working on the design process via in-depth research, 3D work, and work on prototypes.

- Sketching and preparing launch sheets.

- Research on fabrics and colours, collaborate on prints and embroideries with the Print team, and ensure the final selection.

- Liaising with MM6 Merchandising team to ensure collection balance and integrate market needs.

Secure product execution in consistency with creative concepts, by:

- Partnering with external ateliers and product managers in Italy to secure the good execution of the design's creative vision and achieve the required level of quality and price points.

- Participating in technical fitting sessions, verifying product feasibility, and ensuring that Designs' desires are respected during commercialisation, in collaboration with Development Partners.

- Participating in the show, lookbook and styling process, together with the Design director.

- Participating in technical presentations for commercial purposes.

- Update of collection plans and line sheets.

Skills and experience

- Available from: March

- Education: Design/Fashion School.

- Required experience: 4-5 years as a Menswear designer.

- Know-How and technical: Luxury experience, good in-depth cross-category knowledge, eye for details, creative and technical skills in Ready-to-Wear, management of creative and development teams.

- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

- Behavioural competencies: Strong creativity and passion for the product. You are recognised for your rigour, efficiency, and precision. Team spirit, responsiveness, and autonomy.

- Languages: fluent in English, spoken and written, French and Italian a plus (Product development and samples production are in Italy.)
