Internship Gas Technology Engineer F - M H/F Axens

Context:

The mission of our Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to propose to our clients sustainable solutions, which are also efficient in terms of technologies / process, catalysts / adsorbents and services for the whole domains Axens is involved in. T&TS Business Division is responsible for the performance achieved in Axens' clients units and for maintaining the competitiveness of our offer in a very competitive market and during the energy transition period. The Technology Engineer position is at the crossroads of Axens core jobs, mixing technical support to sales, partnership with our Clients, piloting R&D actions to ensure our long-term competitiveness, tech services activities in our Clients' units, technical offers in response to invitations to bid, and projects / studies execution.

As part of the Gas Technology Team within the Low Carbon Solutions & Gas Product Line of the T&TS Business Division, we are looking for an intern who is in their last year of process engineering school (ENSIC, ENSIACET, CPE Lyon etc.) to work on the Sulfur Recovery Units (SRU) segment. The intern will be responsible for improving the tools used during SRU technical proposals.

Tasks and activities:

The activities of the internship are as follows:

· Adapt and simplify equipment calculations in Excel (including VBA coding) for SRU technical proposals.

· Test the new calculations tools created :

o Share the results with the Technology and the Process teams.

o Conduct training sessions to familiarize team members with the new tools.

· Improve Master SRU simulations in Aspen Hysys and/or internal proprietary software.

· Participate in SRU technology improvement activities.

· Create and/or fill existing database required for SRU technical proposal preparation and technologies evaluation.

· Create and/or Improve Master documentation (Process Flow Diagrams, Technical offer template, Master Conception note etc.)

· If time permits, the intern may also participate in technical proposal preparation.
