Mission Description - Asset Management Support for the C&I Business Line

Our client is seeking external support to assist in the development and coordination of its Asset Management framework for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) assets. The mission will begin with one initial project, and expand towards a standardized, company-wide approach cross technologies and markets.

Objectives:
- Define current and future requirements for asset monitoring, reporting, and operational management, including the integration of BESS/EMS and other digital systems.
- Identify, benchmark and assess potential service providers able to support the implementation and operation of a comprehensive and future proof asset management solution, ensuring effective long-term management of our assets.
- upport the initial setup and implementation of the selected asset management solution, ensuring proper integration, configuration, and alignment with operational needs.

We are looking for a part-time (?) consultant to support the team over 6-months (extendable), providing strategic input and operational guidance on both technical and organizational aspects.

The scope of work will include, but is not limited to:

- Definition of relevant performance and operational indicators that are relevant for C&I assets (Must: Wind, PV, BESS; Optional: Flex loads).
- Design of an asset supervision strategy integrating different data flows (PV, BESS, etc.): Evaluation of a single tool versus a multi-platform platforms.
- Benchmarking and evaluation of software solutions for asset management and supervision with a focus on interoperability, scalability, and integration with local EMS and BESS monitoring or optimization platforms.
- Support in defining processes for customer interactions (e.g., curtailment requests, data access, incident handling) aligned with industry standards.
- Review of contractual aspects, including the translation of commercial commitments (e.g. pricing, performance) into technical requirements.
- Definition of technical standards and architecture for the monitoring and follow-up of C&I plants.

Expected outcomes include

- A clear definition of technical and operational needs
- A shortlist of suitable service providers and tools
- Actionable recommendations and initial implementations roadmap to support the deployment of an efficient and scalable asset management system.

Profile

- Proven experience in renewable asset management (solar, wind, BESS).
- Familiarity with asset management and monitoring platforms (e.g., SynaptiQ, QOS Energy)
- Understanding of system integration and data flow between local EMS, BESS, and central AM platforms.
- Ability to translate technical findings into operational and contractual recommendations.
