    Your Role in Our Story:
The Financial Controller is responsible for supporting the financial reporting and compliance functions first for ACT France, and then for ACT Spain. They ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, assist in managing financial risks, and support the strategic financial planning of the company.
In essence, your role involves:
- Financial Reporting:
- Run automatic journals in NAV (i.e. Depreciation/FX)
- Prepare Accruals and prepayments
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain consistency and transparency of reporting across France and Spain.
- Manage external accounting and tax provider in Spain
- Assist in ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Financial Control and Oversight:
- Checks on PO linking accuracy, dimension codes accuracy etc.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings in compliance with local and group accounting standards.Review accuracy of bookings across the financial statements
- Pilot the invoicing process & Perform Sales invoicing
- Perform Gross Margin reconciliation and variance analyses
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Review accuracy, trends and actual costs versus budget
- Work on Budget
- Prepare Cash forecast,
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- 
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure adherence to vendor/supplier policies, including call-back procedures and segregation of duties
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of internal finance processes and systems.
- Audit Management:
- Involvement in group-wide projects (PO, MtM, IC automation etc.)
- Assist in coordinating internal and external audits in France and Spain.
- Prepare audit documentation, respond to queries, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
- Address and resolve audit findings, ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
- Team Collaboration:
- Approvals of manual journal entries, payments etc.
- E.g. Information from HR on bonus accruals
- Work closely with the accountant and finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Partner with FD on cash management, working capital, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Involvement in preparation of management report
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Communicate financial performance and strategy to senior management.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Experience:
- A number of years of progressive accounting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Performance:
- Consistent high performance in accounting roles.
- Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and work effectively within a team.
- Professional Development:
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Participation in relevant training and development programs.
