What You'll Do:

As a Production Engineer you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by actingas a technical resource for Asset Operations, providing engineering support to help operational work teams run safe, efficient, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations

What We're Looking For:

- Understands the unit's technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit.
- Works with other technical roles and plant personnel to meet business and plant goals.
- Supports and follows the work process and standard work practices required by the site and unit.
- Ensures the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit performance and production.
- Improves unit operating discipline and plant operating procedures.
- Initiates MOC's as necessary.
- Assists in troubleshooting and facilitates training of operating personnel in trouble shooting skills.
- Networks with reliability, maintenance and improvement engineers to resolve issues, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage technology and best practices into the unit.
- As requested, trains and communicates process technology and technical information to plant personnel.
- Leads and contributes as required in root cause investigations for unplanned events per site and unit guidelines and requirements.
- Leads and supports targeted process and productivity improvement teams.
- Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
- Understands and closes unit asset utilization operational performance gaps.
- Maintains a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.

Skills That Make a Difference:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred.
- 4+ years of operational experience within a chemical plant.
- Experience with leading projects andworking with cross-functional teams.
- Co-ops or internships are considered a plus
