Les missions du poste
The Senior Finance Controller will be a key player in establishing financial structure, driving strategic insights, and enabling growth. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape core finance processes from the ground up. You'll work closely with the leadership team to create scalable systems for planning and performance management, while also mentoring and elevating the existing finance team.
Location: UAE, Dubai
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budgeting & Forecasting
· Design and lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with management team
· Develop short- term and year-end financial forecasts
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Build and maintain monthly (and quarterly) reporting package for stakeholders (both internal and external)
· Provide variance analysis and insights to support decision-making
3. Operational Finance
· Establish and optimize processes for cash flow management, cost control, and working capital
· Support the development of financial policies, controls, and compliance standards
4. Team Leadership
· Manage and mentor the current accounting team; guide their professional development
· Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners as needed
5. Systems & Tools
· As member of the IT Steering Committee, ensure full involvement concerning evolution of Financial systems
· Work closely with with IT team to ensure data accuracy and integration across systems
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Past work experience in the GCC regions would be preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field - MBA or CPA/CFA qualification would be preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with previous team management experience.
- 3 - 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, ideally including start-up or high-growth environments
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with startup financial challenges, including working capital management and risk assessment.
- Exceptional skills in using Excel for financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.
- Experience building or scaling a finance function in a startup would be a plus
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (Zoho Books would be a plus).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in French would be a plus.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a startup environment.
