Job Description
Step out to the hotel.
Experiences to enjoy in the most beautiful hotels around you: for 24 hours, 48 hours, or just a few hours.
Hotels are often underestimated, even overlooked, by city residents. Yet, under their roofs, you'll find the most stunning spas, some of the finest restaurants, dream-worthy bedding, breathtaking views, and interiors that break from the ordinary.
Staycation was born from this realization, with one goal: to make hotels the new go-to city spots, just like the classic trio of cinema, exhibitions, and restaurants.
Today, Staycation means:
- 3.5 million users (with an average age of 30)
- 2,000+ partner hotels (4-5 stars and luxury destinations)
- Experiences rated an average of 9.3/10 by our users
Joining Staycation means becoming part of a team passionate about reimagining the future of hospitality and urban living.
Before applying, please note: this is a full remote position, but only open to candidates based in France.
The Role
As a Product Designer, your mission is to help shape the future of the Staycation experience, an essential service for urban dwellers.
Your goal: co-create simple, elegant solutions to complex problems, always keeping the user at the heart of everything you do.
At Staycation, the product team is a cross-functional powerhouse made up of Developers, Product Managers, and Product Designers.
Reporting to the CTO, you'll join a squad made up of a Product Manager, a Lead Developer, and several Developers.
The squad identifies and prioritizes key problems, and you'll work together to design the right solutions.
Your playground? The entire Staycation product ecosystem: mobile app, website, hotel services and internal tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solutions
Be involved in every stage of the product development process-from identifying user needs and defining solutions to delivery and continuous improvement.
- Champion the user perspective in every new feature
You'll know our Personas inside out: their constraints, their needs, their pain points-and you'll make sure their voice is heard throughout the design process.
- Set and elevate best practices
You'll implement design processes, take ownership of the design system, and ensure a top-quality experience in the final product-working closely with developers to make it happen.
- Help grow the design culture
You'll collaborate with other Product and Visual Designers to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. You'll bring in top creative talent (illustrators, 3D artists, etc.) to maximize delight in the product. At Staycation, you'll be both the voice of the user and a champion for design.
- Establish strong User Research processes
Conduct in-depth user research to define Personas and understand their needs. You'll set up processes to continuously enrich and track this knowledge.
Location
Paris or fully remote, just be available to work from Paris 3 days a month.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a company that's genuinely improving people's everyday lives.
- Work in an innovative, opportunity-driven product organization.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to co-create smart, user-centered solutions.
