About the Role

We're looking for a communications professional to join our France Communications team. The role will BE based in Paris and will report into our Director of Communications.

What You'll Do
- Tell our Uber and Uber Eats stories in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with journalists and our key audiences, proactively pitching compelling stories to local and national media
- Work with reporters on a daily basis, juggling a combination of proactive and reactive communications efforts that enhance our brand and reputation
- Project manage events and special activations, working with our agencies and other teams
- Manage corporate issues from writing reactive statements to mobilizing cross-functional teams
- Build a strong network of relevant media contacts

What You'll Need
- Strong command of the media, policy, and cultural landscape in France
- Creativity and drive to tell compelling stories for corporate, local and Tech media
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in building relationships and influencing cross-functionally
- Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests
- Strong understanding of news cycles and new media, as well as excellent writing and communications skills

Bonus Points If
- Fluent in English and French native
- Preferred academic background in Communications/PR, Political sciences (Sciences Po, CELSA, EFAP, etc.)
- 5-8 years of experience in an in-house PR role and/or journalism, or a PR agency
