Context :
As part of the KUTEI NH & MASELA project studies, we are looking for a Naval and Mooring Engineer to carry out the services described in this specification.
Missions :
Perform the design studies of mooring systems (anchor lines, chains, anchors, buoys, etc.).
Conduct hydrodynamic analyses and seakeeping calculations using specialized software (e.g., OrcaFlex, AQWA, DeepLines, etc.).
Assess environmental constraints (currents, waves, wind) and incorporate them into mooring design calculations.
Participate in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering (EPC) phases.
Prepare technical specifications, calculation reports, and design notes.
Monitor the fabrication, testing, inspection, and implementation of mooring equipment.
Contribute to the definition of offshore installation procedures.
Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines : structural, marine, geotechnical, offshore operations.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards (DNV, ABS, ISO, API, etc.).
Provide technical support to project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Take part in technical reviews and meetings with stakeholders.
Candidate Profile :
Engineering degree (Master's level or equivalent - Bac +5) in naval architecture, offshore engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Prior experience in the naval, offshore oil & gas, or marine renewable energy sectors is desirable.
Proficient in marine dynamics and mooring analysis tools (e.g., OrcaFlex, MOSES, AQWA).
Good understanding of hydrodynamic phenomena, structural mechanics, and geotechnical aspects.
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and in an international environment.
Good command of technical English (spoken and written).
Rigorous, autonomous, analytical, and responsible.
Willingness to travel offshore or to suppliers when necessary.
SKILLS :
Proven experience in mooring design calculations (strength, fatigue, including Out-of-Plane Bending - OPB and In-Plane Bending - IPB) for floater units.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Proficiency in Hydrostar, Diodore, OrcaFlex, and DeepLines software.
BOSIET certification (OPITO certified) required.
