Job Summary

The Truck Driver Class 1 (or AZ Driver), under the direction of the Logistics Manager, will primarily BE responsible for safely delivering product to our customers in a friendly and courteous manner. This position will require high standards of customer service and efficiency. Flexibility of shift is an important requirement for this position and overnight runs may BE required.

Job Duties

Safe operation of equipment at all times;
Courteous and positive communication with customers and job site personnel;
Unloading of product at customer job sites;
Pick up product from vendors;
Picking up coils from Steel mills and from outside storage locations;
Transferring product between Agway locations;
Maintaining a Class 1 License (or Ontario AZ License) in good standing;
Maintain both electronic and paper logs;
Perform daily pre-use inspections on all equipment;
Wear the company uniform and represent the company in a positive fashion;
Perform overnight runs on an as needed basis;
Safely operate lifting devices such as the truck-mounted forklifts;
Continuously staying in contact with logistics personnel throughout the day as needed;
Other duties as assigned.
