Our Hydrogen expertise
John Cockerill Hydrogen has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing electrolysers and integrated hydrogen systems. We specialize in large-scale projects valued between €40 million and €100 million. With two gigafactories in France and China and a dedicated team of 300 professionals, we are accelerating our growth with multiple new projects.
Your role : Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you will manage a portfolio of industrial-scale projects in the hydrogen sector. You will oversee the development of both standalone equipment and turnkey solutions, ensuring projects stay on track, meet deadlines, and align with budgets.
Key responsibilities :
- Define project scope, identify internal and external partners, and set clear objectives.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and partners.
- Manage the contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of projects, including regular budget reviews.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and consistent.
- Champion safety, quality, and environmental standards across all projects.
- Collaborate with teams to continuously improve project processes and tools.
These projects place you at the forefront of energy transition, contributing to the development of sustainable technologies.
Your team
You will work in an agile, multicultural team with members from various disciplines, including project managers, planners, cost controllers, and contract managers. The environment is collaborative, offering the perfect balance of autonomy and support.
You'll report to Bernard De La Croix, Vice-President Project Execution. Bernard values clear communication and encourages a collaborative approach, ensuring you have the freedom to lead while receiving guidance when necessary.
Your profile
Experience, knowledge, and hard skills :
- Engineer degree or above in chemical, energy, oil & gas, or related fields.
- Over 15 years of experience managing energy infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project management systems and tools.
- Strong command of English.
- Experience managing multiple projects and balancing resource conflicts.
- PM certification is a plus
Personality and behavioral skills :
- Leadership and the ability to coordinate multifunctional/multicultural teams.
- Agility and hands on.
- Process orientation to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Affinity with international environments and a willingness to travel abroad.
- Active listening skills to understand client needs and team dynamics.
- Communication, openness, and assertiveness to foster collaboration.
- Organization and rigor to maintain project excellence.
