Les missions du poste
The technical records officer provides technical expertise to the company's internal customers for the assessment of components repair quotations, management and analysis of technical records, to address repairs topics to concerned services and to support supply chain and accounting officer in technical meeting with customers and suppliers.
Technical :
- Analyses repair quotation based on :
- Technical data : reason for removal, shop findings, maintenance (to BE) performed.
- Collected information and analysing material and job costing
- Compliance with ICA (instruction for continuing airworthiness) of the manufacturer and the OEM, and airline/maintenance technical records (as PFR, PIREP, MAINT REP, TSM, AMM)
- Failure assessment
- Approve/dispute CID (customer induced damage), misuse, NFF (no fault found)
- Monitor compliance of repair report with the work orders
- Collect and analyse shop maintenance records (teardown report, shop finding report, etc.)
- Approve request for scrapping of units
- Ensure required information is available upon request from the Material Quote Manager
- Monitors availability of quotation based on TAT and date of removal and solicits quotes from the supply base.
- Check warranty claim status for the repair.
- Develop effective relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure that Supply Chain Management is fully involved with quotation profitability opportunities.
- Attend quote meetings with supply chain, maintenance providers and customers
- Maintain knowledge on materials and supply base supporting purchases at a price consistent with quality and required technical procedures
- Ensure the suppliers selected are in compliance with aviation regulations requirements
- Manage technical records archive
Analytics :
- Evaluate supplier performance on quarterly basis or as/when required.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to specific sector on quotation and metrics activities
- Maintain knowledge of the information required to obtain accurate quotes from the supply base.
- Support new business and new customer material quotation activities
- Research, collect and compile reports on repair information in relation to the company's products, its customers and its competitors.
- Select and analyze for best possible pricing, lead-times, and other terms and conditions to achieve lower costs.
- Analyze supplier quotes in order to provide complete best quoted cost to the quote requestor.
- Support and recommend alternate supply base for quoting.
- Builds estimate, and repair prices standard to assist accounting and supply chain in quotation estimate.
- Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
Follows up on quotations and dispute quotes as necessary.
- Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
- Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals
- Create a disseminate pertinent chart and dashboard
Quality :
- Comply to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Quality).
- Works together with other services (i.e., engineering, technical support, supply chain, accounting, QA, etc.) as needed to ensure accurate quotes and lead times.
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- In addition, train and support department and other services members.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; by combining system knowledge, anticipating, meeting, and exceeding expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
- Indentify creative ways by streamlining process and systems.
- Evaluates and develops business cases

Le profil recherché
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- BS/BA in engineering, aerospace science or relevant discipline a plus
- Having functional competence and a basic understanding of machining or a production environment a plus
- Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing.
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames
- Able to identify problems and offer alternative solutions and/or courses of action based on available resources
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and external customers through multiple means such as email and telephone
- Ability to multitask to meet deadlines
