What you do
As the Head of Home Steering & Performance you will BE a crucial figure within the LoB perimeter. Your are in charge of steering all Home related aspects for selected markets - from Growth Strategy to Contracts Profitability while also focusing on operational efficiency and financial analysis.
You will work closely with the Global Head of Home, local Management and Global stakeholders such as Operations, UW, Finance, Sales & PMI, not only to coordinate projects but to steer / challenge topics to ensure that remediation program progresses properly.
In addition to the remediation scope, you might also take the lead on transversal P&L Optimization topics, Financial Modelling, M&A Transaction and ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
Your main respnsibilities :
- Remediation of Loss-Making Units : Identify loss-making business units within home line of business and develop targeted remediation plans. This includes conducting thorough analyses to pinpoint root causes of underperformance, designing strategic turnaround initiatives, and implementing corrective actions to restore profitability. Collaborate with finance, UW, Operations and Local Management teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of remediation strategies.
- Strategic Decision Support : Provide Business/financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- PnL Oversight : Conduct detailed Business and financial analyses (creating consistency and transparency in all Lob financials) to understand revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Planning and Forecasting : Lead and facilitate PD and forecasting exercises by actively engaging with relevant stakeholders (Markets, UW, Ops, Finance).
- Performance Monitoring : Ensures a global vision for the Home LoB by actively overseeing the overall portfolio and collaborating with Underwriting teams and LoB Heads. Oversee the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate service quality and operational effectiveness, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
- Ad Hoc Strategic Topics : Respond to emerging strategic topics (incl M&A) and challenges as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in addressing unforeseen topics. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement solutions for ad hoc initiatives that align with organizational priorities
What you bring
· Master's degree (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Insurance, Engineering)
· 10 years of professional experience in a similar field e.g. general management functions such as Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Underwriting or Operations within an Insurance/Assistance company
· Proficiency in conducting P&L analyses and providing business and financial insights for informed decision-making across diverse product lines.
· Proven success in executing strategic remediation plans and implementing corrective actions to achieve profitability in loss-making business
· Proven track record of leading successful business transformation
· Experience in managing change effectively within an organization
· Strong ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business
· Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and broad organization influencing skills in complex organizational structures
· Strives for high standards of excellence and sustainable business results,
· Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
· Communication & Presentation : Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
· Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they arise.
· Fluent in English. Proficiency in French, Spanish or German is an advantage.
