Join a Global Leader in Nuclear Energy
One of our clients, a key player in the nuclear industry, designs and supplies advanced turbine island technology for a wide range of reactor types, including SMRs. As part of its business expansion, we are looking for a skilled Global Claims Leader M/F to drive and coordinate claims strategies for large-scale, high-value industrial projects. This global role is part of the Contract Management department.
Your Responsibilities
Claims Strategy & Governance
- Define and deploy the company's global claims management strategy across all major projects and regions.
- Establish and maintain standardized claims processes, tools and best practices.
- Conduct advanced financial and schedule impact analysis (e.g., Forensic Delay Analysis, EVM techniques) to support claim positions.
- Ensure strategic alignment of claims initiatives involving customers, partners, suppliers and insurers.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (claims success rate, resolution time, financial recovery, etc.).
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach and support a team of Claim Managers across multiple sites and projects (directly or functionally).
- Support team development through mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and targeted training.
- Coordinate external advisors and experts (legal counsels, technical specialists, dispute resolution professionals).
- Drive high-level governance meetings on strategic or high-stakes claims (e.g., Claims Boards, Legal Steering Committees).
End-to-End Claims Management
- Detect potential claim situations as early as project start-up.
- Lead the preparation of robust claim files, including supporting documentation, contractual analysis, and cost/schedule justifications.
- Quantify and validate impacts related to scope changes, delays, inefficiencies or third-party failures.
- Drive negotiations with clients and partners to resolve claims amicably or escalate when necessary.
- Oversee formal dispute processes (conciliation, mediation, arbitration, litigation) when informal resolution is not feasible.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the main point of contact for high-value or sensitive claims across project teams.
- Align with Project Managers, Legal, Finance, Planning and Engineering to build a unified position.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of claim decisions, negotiation records, and communication history.
- Participate in executive-level meetings with clients and partners to address and de-escalate contract risks.
Knowledge Management & Process Improvement
- Capture and structure lessons learned to continuously improve the claims function.
- Contribute to internal training and awareness sessions on claims and contractual risk.
- Promote a strong contract culture and best practices throughout the organization.
Le profil recherché
- Master's degree in Contract Management, Business, or Law
- At least 10 years of experience in claim/contract management in an international industrial or construction environment
- Proven team leadership (2+ years) in claim management
- In-depth understanding of contractual risk, dispute resolution and delay analysis
- Fluent English (written & spoken)
Desirable qualifications :
Professional certifications (ICC, RICS, IMI...), experience in nuclear projects, Primavera P6 skills, additional French language is a plus.
