THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Franchise and Department Store Manager with a proven track record in managing and developing strategic partnerships with top-tier department stores and franchise partners across the Germany, UK, Scandinavia, and other key European markets. The ideal candidate will bring established relationships, exceptional negotiation skills, and strategic insight to drive business growth, brand positioning, and commercial success in line with the company's strategic objectives. In the day to day operations we expect the successful candidate being autonomous, self-motivated and well organized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with leading department stores in mentioned territories (such as Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, NK, Illum, etc.) and Franchise partners across Western Europe.
- Oversee operational processes and staff management for Department Store and Franchise business.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure new strategic partnerships to expand market presence and revenue opportunities.
- Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance with established commercial terms.
- Implement and adapt brand strategy to optimize sell-in/sell-out performance, ensuring consistent brand alignment and profitability across markets.
- Participate in seasonal Go-to-Market processes, including showroom activities, seasonal product presentations, sell-in appointments, and strategic assortment planning.
- Identify market-specific opportunities, analyze retail landscape, competitor positioning, and execute strategic actions accordingly.
- Track, analyze, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), including monthly sales results, inventory management, sell-through rates, and customer experience metrics.
- Support department stores and franchise partners in achieving sales targets, providing regular feedback, training, and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, VM, and Customer Service) to ensure operational excellence and consistent brand execution.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, competitor activities, and provide actionable insights to internal teams for proactive decision-making.
- Provide regular feedback to product development and merchandising teams to enhance product offering in alignment with market demands.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing department store and franchise partnerships in the premium or luxury fashion industry.
- Strong existing relationships with key department stores and franchise partners, particularly in the Germany, UK, Scandinavia, and other European markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to translate data-driven insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Proven track record of successful business development, market expansion, and revenue growth.
- Highly organized and process-oriented, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages (Germain, French, Scandinavian languages) are advantageous.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to markets and partners.
