Your Mission as a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe/Mill-Turn Machinist
As a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe/Mill-Turn Machinist, your primary responsibility will BE to troubleshoot and facilitate the "break-in" of new products and programs. This includes, but is not limited to :
- Setting up and operating production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and programs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Performing a variety of complex tasks, demonstrating your versatile machining skills.
- Troubleshooting and verifying tool/fixture clearances during set-ups.
- Reviewing new programs and proactively identifying potential issues to prevent machine crashes and ensure smooth operation.
- Executing proper touch-offs and diligently catching any mistakes.
- Adhering strictly to 6S guidelines to maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Potentially leading and directing the work of others, serving as a qualified trainer (based on skills matrix).
Le profil recherché
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional who brings :
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related machining field, preferably in aerospace.
- Familiarity with a variety of aerospace concepts, practices, and procedures.
- The ability to perform within tight tolerances of +/- 0.001 inch and work within established parameters.
- Proficiency in the use and understanding of a variety of gages, including but not limited to bore gages, Johnson gages, pitch mics, and an indicator for setting and establishing work offsets.
- Experience with mill-turn machines is a significant plus.
- A team player mentality with a positive attitude.
