Your Mission as a 2nd Shift Manual Lathe Operator
As a 2nd Shift Manual Lathe Operator, your primary responsibility will BE to skillfully and efficiently set up and operate Engine Lathe equipment. Your key responsibilities will include :
- Reading blueprints and interpreting engineering instructions to consistently produce parts to close tolerances.
- Analyzing and debugging new methods to optimize machining processes.
- Performing calculations and utilizing inspection equipment to ensure all quality requirements are meticulously met.
- Understanding and strictly adhering to safety rules, including maintaining a neat and clean work area.
- Diligently performing all duties in a highly productive manner.
- Checking and maintaining oil and coolant levels on a daily basis to ensure machine longevity and performance.
Le profil recherché
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who possesses :
- A High School Diploma or Vocational School background with hands-on training from school or a machine shop.
- Proficiency with 4-Jaw/Buck Chucks.
- Competence in using and understanding Steady Rests and Wall Variation Gages.
- The ability to perform within tight tolerances of +/- 0.001 inch.
- A team player mentality with a positive attitude.
- Desirable : Some training in SPC (Statistical Process Control), teambuilding, and problem sharing, along with being well-versed in company quality policies and procedures.
