What You'll Do :

The Project Process Engineer collaborates closely with Test Engineering, Data Acquisition and Automation, Maintenance and Fabrication, and Operations teams to efficiently and effectively lead installation and process improvement projects within the Testing and Applied Sciences Departments. The Project Engineer will also actively work with stakeholder groups to identify, design and implement process improvement and efficiency opportunities within the organization. Ultimately, the Project Engineer will support the overall Testing mission to provide high quality, cost-effective, and timely testing solutions to demonstrate the performance and value of Lubrizol products.

What We're Looking For :
- Utilize Project Management tools and processes to ensure that all projects have established deliverables, milestones, dates, and budgets, and that these priorities are effectively managed and communicated during project execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and resource groups to ensure that priorities are understood, and that activities and tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop a solid understanding of test operations and Testing Lab Utility Systems and identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
- Collaborate and share best practices with peers within the Project Engineering group, other relevant departments at the Wickliffe site, as well as other global testing locations and outside testing locations as appropriate.
- Provide regular updates to Mechanical Testing Engineers, the Mechanical Testing Management Team, and other stakeholders on technical and project achievements as well as issues or obstacles.
- Apply engineering skills and knowledge in the development of new tests and standardizing and improving test stand builds and modifications.
- Prepare and submit requests for capital including detailed scopes, cost estimates and all other required documentation.
- Review project performance at milestones and ensure accountability to deliver agreed upon results.

Skills That Make a Difference :
- BS or MS Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, extensive experience may BE considered in lieu of a degree
- Five or more years of engineering experience.
- Project Management experience, with an established track record of successful execution. This experience should BE related to engineering or construction.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and chemical processes; define problems, collect and analyze data, establish causation, and implement corrective or improvement actions.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to conduct data analysis and provide conclusions and/or recommendations for improvement in the test area. Provide clear, concise and timely reports reviewing the pertinent details, status and results.
- Apply sound judgment when personal safety or environmental safety issues arise.
- Manage project work in a financially responsible manner by balancing expenses against revenues and by determining return on investments.

Working Conditions
- May require occasional domestic travel and infrequent international travel. (Both rare)
- Flexible with work schedule and willing to accept calls during non-working hours.
