Swan is seeking a talented and driven fixed-term Senior Technical Writer to join our Documentation team. We're a team of ambitious individuals driven by clear communication and a passion for continuous improvement.
We tackle complex challenges collaboratively, and our team plays a crucial role in ensuring our partners, their users, and our internal teams can effortlessly leverage our cutting-edge product. Our team owns a diverse range of content, including technical product documentation, help center, engaging partner e-learning, intuitive UX writing, and vital internal resources.
As a Senior Technical Writer at Swan, you won't just document; you'll BE a key enabler of our product's success, directly impacting user adoption and satisfaction.
Your mission
As our Senior Technical Writer, you will develop and refine Swan's technical documentation, with a strong focus on our API reference. You will lead the content strategy for this critical area, working closely with the Documentation Team Manager to deliver a unified and user-centric content journey. Your core responsibilities include :
- Mastering clarity : Transforming intricate technical details into concise, engaging, and easily understandable documentation for a diverse audience.
- Driving content strategy : Leading initiatives to optimize our documentation based on data insights and industry best practices, ensuring maximum user impact.
- Crafting developer-focused content : Writing, editing, and refining key technical assets, including API reference guides, integration guides, code examples, and conceptual overviews, while maintaining our brand's voice.
- Fostering collaboration : Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Support, and Implementation teams to gather essential information and guarantee the accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
- Optimizing processes : Continuously improve our documentation workflows and standards.
- Elevating team expertise : Mentoring and guiding team members to enhance their technical writing skills and contribute to a high-performing documentation practice.
Le profil recherché
You're a great match if :
- Proven technical writer : You have 5-7 years of hands-on experience in technical writing, with a significant focus on API documentation. Experience leading end-to-end documentation projects is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional wordsmith : You deeply appreciate precise and impactful language, with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and clarity.
- Natural collaborator : You thrive in cross-functional environments, effortlessly building rapport with diverse teams to understand their needs and achieve shared objectives.
- Strategic thinker : You approach documentation with a structured and methodical mindset, prioritizing quality and planning effectively to deliver exceptional results.
- Technical communicator : You Excel at demystifying complex technical concepts, translating them into accessible information for technical and non-technical users.
- Proactive and results-oriented : You are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a dynamic environment, and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Design acumen : You're comfortable using design tools to create clear, informative diagrams and visuals that enhance understanding.
- API savvy : You have a solid understanding of API principles and ideally have practical experience working with or explaining them.
- Language and localization expert : Your English grammar and editing skills are impeccable, and you understand the nuances of language and their impact on successful localization.
- Growth-minded : You actively seek and value constructive feedback, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
