This role will BE based in Sudan, reporting to the Regional Managing Director, East Africa.
DETAILS OF MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the Country's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships and portfolio.
- Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to AGL Management as well as customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.
- Define objectives in terms of quality of service and cost control (based on the objectives set by the Management)
- Inform the team of the company's strategy and developments and communicate on the necessary internal alignments
- Manage and Evaluate the performance of employees (N-1)
- Maintain and develop the skills of employees (N-1)
- Build And Adapt Processes And Organizations
- To rebuild the team in Port Sudan and Khartoum in all the departments (Shipping, SeaFreight, Air Freight, Warehousing and Commercial)
- To Ensure a strong AGL Sudan presence in Port Sudan and Khartoum by engaging with clients and exploring service offerings tailored to the current context of the country.
- Regularly review the composition of COM units (personnel, skills).
- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with the team.
- Organize quality reviews within operations with the support. Implement the corresponding recommendations.
- Validate complex quotes (technical risks, critical customer, very high or very low profitability, etc.) after an initial check/contribution from N-1
- Key role in responding to project calls for tenders including validation of technical feasibility, resources to BE mobilized, prices to BE applied, estimated profitability and associated risks
- Support the recovery action carried out by the Financial Department and N-1 employees when necessary
- Evaluation of the credit conditions to BE granted to customers and submission of the choice to Management.
- Manage Customer Relations
- To work closely on the actual costings and define the standard price scale for the services offered to customers. Submission to hierarchy for validation incase needed
- Assist the sales department with specific quotes : provide technical validation and prices for carrying out services
- Support the sales department in customer meetings when necessary
- Manage/assist operations managers in their communication with customers in the event of an operational problem (potential or proven)
- Involvement within the credit committee
- Validation of the creation of cash customers in the business tool
- Control The Quality Of Service And Profitability Of Sudan Activities.

- Financial reporting : Detailed P&L per COM unit (monthly)
