Job Purpose :
The Operations Manager will direct the activities of the operations team through the reporting Managers and Supervisors. Ensure that the team is never satisfied with status quo and will continuously strive to improve the service to internal and external customers.
IT is expected to make constant process improvement and empower others to take action with due regard to safety, quality, cost, and productivity, while ensuring maximum production levels and efficient utilization of labor, equipment and space.
Critical Success Factors
oAchieve average gross moves per quay crane of 37 GMPH.
oTo meet the berth production targets as established in the terminal/shipping line contracts.
oAchieve average 30-minute truck turn-round time
oGrow a second to none operations team with an environment that is supportive of learning, training and developing, whilst minimizing staff turnover.
Main Objectives
- Manage, motivate, coach and instruct all operational team members. Structure tasks and goals, establish efficient courses of action, set priorities, organize information, efficiently execute with following considerations.

oHigh level Operational Strategy
oLong term Equipment needs
oLong term Capacity needs
oCustomer and Service requirements
oSafety requirements
- Ensure safe working conditions are kept at all times.
- Ensure cost awareness is filtered throughout organization.
- Provide regular process control checks and initiate and support performance improvement activities.
- Set and maintain performance criteria for reporting personnel. Ensure personal development plans are developed, reviewed, and carried out.
- Perform periodic scheduled performance review with reporting personnel.
- Maintain and enhance relationships between departments. Promote goodwill among external/internal customers and vendors.
- Participate in accident investigations and disciplinary hearings.
Le profil recherché
- Together with the Business Process Analysis, drive and support in KPI analysis, process design, process redesign, and implementations of new processes.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is typically required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management or a related field.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, overseeing teams, managing processes, and driving performance improvements.
- Proven experience in managing operations in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain is highly preferred.
- Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and process optimization is essential.
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and achieving operational efficiency and productivity.
